Remarkable homes shaped by thoughtful design, built with timeless craftsmanship, and created to last for generations.
Most of what determines a home’s quality is decided in the specifications, not at the job site. Framing lumber grade, sheathing thickness, fastener selection, insulation type, mechanical equipment brand, finish hardware — every one of these is a quality decision. We document every specification in writing and source every material from suppliers we have worked with for years.
We do not substitute materials without your written approval. If a specified item is back-ordered, discontinued, or proves unavailable, we present alternatives with photos, samples when relevant, and any cost or schedule implications and you decide. This is not standard industry practice. It is standard Forest Heart practice.
Where possible we specify FSC-certified lumber, low-VOC finishes, and locally sourced materials. We work with reclaimed wood specialists on projects where the architecture calls for it. Sustainability is integrated into our standard build practice, not reserved for our certified-green projects.
